Cup of Joe
As I sit here drinking a cup of coffee blaring my iTunes and not working on my autobiography, I am enjoying stopping to smell the roses so to speak for just a moment. With only four weeks of classes left this semester, it's hard to believe things are beginning to wind down and yet, it feels like they just got started!
I started thinking this morning if I were not on this path, what would I be doing. Lord only knows...But I think one thing I'd like to do in my second life or perhaps just down the road is open a coffee shop. The owners of Eclectic did it and it appears to be thriving. I will be the first to admit I don't know jack about coffee and perhaps I should be a barista at Starbucks for a while to learn the ropes (They do have an incredible benefits package including a 401k for part-time employees. Yes, Part-time. CBU didn't even offer that for full-timers unless you had been there for at least 5 years and honestly, that's a lifetime of servitude to that school in my opinion).
But I think it would be a great endeavor and maybe one day, when things calm down and I find myself living in city x, maybe I'll do just that. A coffee shop. A place where people can come together and enjoy one of the things I believe makes the world go round...a hot cup of joe.
Enjoy the day. Cheers.
