Good days. Good people.
I've come to the conclusion that if you're with the right person, you can make any day "one of those days." And I'm not talking about one of those days as in the terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-day kind of days (I loved that book as a child). I'm talking about the good days. The lazy, enjoyable, make you realize how simple and great life can be kind of days when you're with the right person or people.
I was listening to Dan describe his day today with Sallie visiting the Farmer's Market, grabbing coffee, and spending time riding the trolley and I was like, that's the kind of day I'm talking about. I, on the other hand, spent the majority of the day inside making a study guide for a test and working on a project. Kari was in the other room working on a paper and we commiserated our plights while enjoying the fall weather breeze coming through the windows. But we managed to find time for a run and a trip to Target and it felt like one of those good kind of days.
I'm hoping that I'll find myself lucky after graduate school living in a city full of excitement and adventure surrounded by people or just that one person that makes it all seem worthwhile and worth exploring. What I do know is that I am blessed now to have those experiences here in Athens and to have met some incredible people that make this experience what it is.
Cheers.
