Are you ok?
One of the biggest downfalls to always walking around with a smile on your face acting like the energizer bunny is that when you finally slow down for a minute, everyone assumes you're in a state of disarray.
I'm not going to go so far as to say I'm in a funk because I'm not but I've definitely been more reserved both in class and at work the last couple days. It's not anything specific and I'm not down in the dumps. I'm just not bouncing around with energy. I had so many colleagues ask me what was wrong today that I almost had to stop and think whether I should be upset about something just to justify a response.
It's not that I'm bothered that they care enough to ask. Believe me, the fact that I have colleagues who care enough to want to make sure I'm doing OK both professionally and personally is an amazing thing. It's just that sometimes, a guy should have the right to keep to himself and not be his usual boisterous self and not have to go through an inquisition. I'm just saying...
In other news, tomorrow is my last visit to Morgan County High School to visit with my junior advisory group. I am thrilled. They're great students but trying to educate them about college options when they would rather just be outdoors hunting, fishing, or roping (yes, roping) has been quite the challenge. I'm ready to close the books on this one.
I'm also ready for the weekend. Hurry up!
Cheers.
