home sweet athens

I arrived at my new home today and was quite surprised. Having signed on board to live there based on price alone, I wasn't quite sure what I was going to be getting myself into. The house is great! I'll try and post some photos of the inside once we are settled. Right now it looks like someone vomited boxes and junk everywhere...It's a mess!

Thanks to Jeff, a second year in the program and my BDB (bull dawg buddy-my big brother in the program essentially), my Cube was cleared out in a matter of minutes! I owe him a few drinks. 

After getting everything inside, I got overwhelmed trying to find the right fit for my stuff. J is coming to Athens with me tomorrow to get settled. I didn't really get a chance to explore Athens at all and look forward to doing that tomorrow. Met one of the new roommates Elizabeth today and I think we are going to get along great. Saw another of the roommates, Kat, briefly and look forward to seeing her more this weekend. The last roommate, Kari, gets in tomorrow night. I'll try and post a cliff notes on each roommate later in the week once I know more about them. 

Spending the night in Atlanta and then heading to Athens for good tomorrow. J and I are going to hit up Ikea first thing tomorrow morning to buy a dresser, bookcase, and a few other things to finish the move. I plan to introduce him to Athens tomorrow and try and meet up with members of my cohort.
