football fury.

I'm going to let everyone know in advance I'm about to rant and stand on a soapbox about UGA football and the Athletic Association at UGA. Unlike the majority of the UGA student population, I'm not upset that I only received a split 3-ticket package this season because there were over 2,000 more requests for student tickets this season. I will also not send in nasty letters to President Adams criticizing him for not getting a full season package or whine and moan that I will never give money to UGA as long as I live and breathe because I was scorned and forced to suffer the worst discrimination in the history of mankind by not getting a full season (6 home games) ticket package.

I will however rant about the injustice that a student will a full season package only pays $8 per game ($48 total for the season) while I and other split-ticket holders who requested an extra ticket to either the Georgia Southern or Central Michigan game were charged a total of $76 for 4 games. That's right boys and girls. I was charged $45 for the ticket to the non exciting Central Michigan game. So I'm waiting for the UGA gods or the football ancestors to explain to me the logic behind charging students who did not get a full package an exorbitant amount of money for an extra ticket when other students only paid $8 for the same game. Are we not all students? Did we not all sign up for the same ticket lottery crossing our fingers hoping for the best but uncertain where the cards would fall? So I am essentially paying $30 more for two games less. Where's the logic in that one?? In fact, a ticket to the UGA vs. Florida game is selling for LESS than what they charged us to attend a home game against Central Michigan.

I guess I should have known better. The whole lottery system stated a Georgia Southern or Central Michigan game was $45 for a ticket outside the student lottery but with split ticket packages, I was under the assumption you were charged the regular student price for one ticket but the ridiculous price for an additional ticket to the same game. Bull shit.

I normally try not to curse in my posts but I'm pissed. I ended up paying $76 for tickets to four games and I'm out of town for 2 of them. Not ok with me. Not ok.

In other news, my birthday is tomorrow and hopefully I'll be in a better mood by then. Cheers.
