bring it on.
Yes. There is a movie titled Bring it On starring my least favorite actress, Kirsten Dunst. Yes. They did make like three more installments of that franchise and I think I've seen them all. No. This post is not about cheerleaders or that movie.
I'm in a "bring it on" state of mind. I am finally unpacked and settled into the new house and, as you can tell, internet came yesterday. I spent the entirety of yesterday waiting for Charter to come for their 10am-12pm scheduled appointment. They arrived at 4:30pm after three phone calls, a $20 credit to my account, and some complaining. Good news is internet works. Bad news is cable does not. It worked for about 30 minutes after Charter left and went down last night around 5:30pm. It's still down. I know I need to call Charter and gripe again so I'm mentally preparing myself. Bring it on Charter.
Our landlord, Howard, is here to hopefully (fingers crossed) install our washer/dryer and fix our sink. The cold water faucet broke and the water won't shut off.
Other than that, things are running smoothly. Went out last night to downtown Athens with some of my roommates' friends and some incoming first years. Athens is cheap. 2.75 for a Coors Light. Awesome. I think I'll like this place.
Went to check out a new gym today that Matt recommended, The Omni. Looks great and isn't too expensive but there's some competition in the area from Bodyplex so I need to check out both. I ended up joining Omni today because there was a walk-in special but it's refundable up to 7 days so I have a trial week to explore.
Hoping to hit up campus this afternoon and walk around, visit my new work site, and look into buying books. I'm ready to tackle and dominate all three.
Not much else to report on right now. I've done a TON of shopping at Target, Wal-Mart, and Publix to get groceries and other essentials. Haven't been able to explore Athens too much but I'm slowly learning my way around...
Miss everyone. Cheers.
